Huzink strated the Moroccan rally with seventh position

The North Bohemian truck started this year's Rally Morocco with seventh place in the prologue. Renault, led by Dutch pilot Gert Huzink, missed one of the checkpoints on the dirt road and had to return, so even though he praised his special truck, he did not have time to erase the loss on the short course and will not start the race on Saturday from the desired favorable front position.
"Starting from any other position than the front row always brings only complications. We started sixth in the prologue and we wanted to improve our position for Saturday's sharp start, but the opening prologue was on narrow roads full of dust. In addition, the trucks in front of us did not respond to the sentinel, so we unnecessarily missed the waypoint and had to return. On such a short and fast track, you can't catch it up. Let's just say it's Friday the 13th and we'll only be able to shine in the next stages," commented chief designer of truck number 505 Mario Kress of MKR Technology.
Czech crew with Martin Macík won the initial prologue. They tackled the nineteen-kilometer track in less than thirteen minutes. The Dutchman Huzink lost barely two minutes and will start from 7th position for Saturday's 1st stage.
During the opening day, the crews had to cover a total of over one hundred kilometers. On Saturday, the situation will be completely different. The longest day of this year is ahead. In total, the trucks will have to travel 721 km on the route from Agadir to Zagora, with 324 km of timed sections.
