The Jongbloed Dakar Team, steering their formidable Truck #615 with the skilled trio of Gert Huzink, navigator Rob Buursen, and mechanic Martin Roesink, made an impressive mark in the Dakar Rally Prologue. Finishing in a commendable 7th place, starting from 15th, the team faced the rocky and sandy challenges with finesse, covering 27 kilometers of measured distance and a total route of 130 km. As they gear up for the next chapter in the rally, stage 1, spanning 414 kilometers with a total route of 541 km, the Jongbloed Dakar Team is set for another intense and thrilling leg. The Prologue, starting and ending in Alula, provided a glimpse of the Jongbloed Dakar Team's tenacity and skill. Negotiating through the challenging combination of sand and rocks, they secured a strong 7th place against a field of strong competitors. The Prologue victory not only highlighted the team's capability but also established a solid foundation for the stages that follow. “We are at the biggening of the rally, the race is very unexpecting, but we are going to give everything that is in our power to cross the finish line.” said Mario Kress, the main chief designer of the MKR Technology team. The Jongbloed Dakar Team's successful Prologue venture has set the tone for their Dakar Rally journey. With Truck #615 and the experienced trio at the helm, the team is ready to conquer the 414 kilometers of stage 1.
