Kozlovský is looking forward to the Silk Way One of the most difficult cross country rallies in the world will start on Thursday. The famous Silk Way Rally will leave Omsk, Russia, and North Bohemian truck from the workshop of Mario Kress and the MKR Technology team will be there. In addition, Daniel Kozlovský from Roudnice will be in the cabin with the Dutch pilot Martin van den Brink.

"I must honestly admit that I'm looking forward to the cabin after a long time. We have made a lot of changes and one of the most important is the modification of the suspension. We are on a completely new level with the suspension. It's not the kind of hardship I've experienced and I'm getting to the point where I really want to race again," said Daniel Kozlovský, technician of the MKR Technology team, just before leaving to Russia. He will be the only representative of the North Bohemian team at the race venue. He will be there with his colleagues from the Dutch Mammoet Rallysport team, for whom the Renault Trucks racing truck is being developed.

The crew has already departed to the venue of this year's Silk Way Rally. The race in the red truck will have the same line-up as in this year's Dakar. The special will be led by Martin van den Brink, the on-board mechanic is Daniel Kozlovský  from Roudnice and the navigation is taken care of by Wouter de Graaff. "Wouter suffered an unpleasant hit to the head at this year's Dakar, which made the completion of the rally literally a pain for him. But now he is in great condition again and we all believe that we will fully enjoy the race," says Kozlovský, who is looking forward to strong competition. "We will go against seven Kamaz and three Maz trucks. It will be a great test," adds Kozlovský, who completed a joint final testing with the MKR Technology and Mammoet Rallysport team in the Netherlands just before departure to Russia. "It was a functional test to confirm that the truck is in full condition. I believe that we are technically fully prepared. I feel that everything really works as it should and the racing will be a real joy. If we want to succeed, we must be one hundred percent ready, we must not make a mistake and hopefully we will succeed and get a great result," said Kozlovský, the on-board technician.

This year's crews, including the Russian winners of the famous Dakar, will have exactly 10 stages with three loops and one marathon stage. The technical handover is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, and the opening ceremony is held in Omsk on Thursday, July 1st. On Friday, the race will start with the first stage to Novosibirsk. This year, the race takes place in two countries. It starts in Russia and moves to Mongolia on the third day. There are routes on the program that have not been raced yet. Crews will travel through the Altai countryside in Russia and the Gobi Desert in Mongolia. In total, they will have to cover about 5,200 kilometers, of which over three thousand will be timed sections. The finish is on Sunday, July 11th in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
