Stress is over, tests in Fontjoncouse bring exciting results Rush and stress, yet at the same time immense satisfaction. MKR Technology’s preparations for the Dakar have taken real momentum in the past few days and peaked at the end of the last week. The team successfully tested their truck in Fontjoncouse in the south of France. Coming next on the schedule is a spectacular presentations in Harskamp, Netherlands, followed by boarding a ferry to South America.

“I still can’t wrap my mind around how we have managed all of this in time. Last tests in Fontjoncouse have successfully concluded the efforts. The pilots are happy and I am, too. We have come a long way in an extremely short time. The trucks are fine-tuned and the changes we have made during the tests have proven efficient. The team are in great spirits,” commented Mario Kress, boss of MKR Technology.

Everything went according to the plan in the French town of Fontjoncouse. Last modifications made the trucks even faster. “Most importantly, we managed to improve the suspension and shock-absorber system settings. The trucks now behave more stable, which is extremely important for the development of each stage,” says Mario Kress with praise.

Two trucks from the MKR Technology centre in Židovice, more specifically the Renault Sherpas and Riwald team’s K520 left Harskamp sooner. On Saturday all three Renaults are going to get a spectacular presentation in the Netherlands, home of both Mammoet Rallysport and Riwald Dakar. For the 2017 Dakar the trio of Dakar specials will be working in an alliance, striving for the best possible result in the world’s most prestigious rally. The whole ensemble is about to set off to the rally’s location next week when all technology will board a ferry in the French port of Le Havre to set sail to Buenos Aires on the following weekend.
