The crews are in a temporary bivouac after the marathon stage The Silk Way Rally is taking a different direction. While according to the original schedule, the crews were to cross the borders of Mongolia on Sunday, but in the end, after the decision of the organizer, they continue exclusively on Russian territory. The changed stage was eventually dominated by Russian Karginov. Martin van den Brink and Kozlovský, technician from Roudnice, finished in the top ten.

"I admit that I am sorry that the whole rally will be half of the original length and that we are not going to Mongolia. The local landscape both here and in Mongolia is simply beautiful. It is a pleasure to drive through here. Today we drove into the mountains and at the same time we crossed several rivers. I have never seen such clean water. We really enjoy it here. The car runs reliably and the environment is beautiful," was delighted Daniel Kozlovský, technician of the red truck of the Mammoet Rallysport team, which was designed by team of Mario Kress  in Chvalín in North Bohemia.

With the 3rd stage, the marathon part of the race has started. Crews have to rely exclusively on themselves. The support of the teams remained in the previous bivouac in Gorno-Altais. However, the crews had to cross to Kosh-Agatch, five hundred and sixty kilometers away. Karginov, who was the fastest driver on the special section, took an hour and half. Martin van den Brink with Daniel Kozlovský and navigator Wouter de Graaff arrived on ninth position with a loss of quarter of an hour. "We made a mistake at the beginning and lost ten minutes on the waypoint," Kozlovský explained their loss, due to which his crew dropped from the overall seventh position to the current ninth position. Russian Sotnikov maintained the overall lead, while his victorious compatriot Karginov, got into the elite five. "Even though we arrived at the makeshift bivouac, there is everything we need, even showers and great food, so we don't mind," Daniel Kozlovský smiled happily.

The Silk Way Rally thus enters into the second half. Monday's 4th stage, i.e. the second half of the marathon part, is also the penultimate section of this year.
