The North Bohemian Dakar special hurried to Morocco

MKR Technology goes wild! A quick decision and a quick move to Morocco followed the tests of the Dakar truck of the MKR Technology team last week in Poland. Therefore, this Friday, the North Bohemian racing special truck will be toeing the line of the next edition of Rally Morocco.

"We made a lot of adjustments to our hybrid truck, especially to the suspension. We dealt with shock absorbers and suspension and everything had to be thoroughly tested. However, the tests in Poland, which we took last week, showed us great results, so we made the decision to travel to a traditional Moroccan rally. Gert just wanted to race," smiled Mario Kress, head designer of the North Bohemian MKR Technology team, which is preparing the hybrid Renault Truck for the Dutch Riwald Dakar team.

So Gert Huzink will be the only driver of a truck from Chvalín who will start the race this Friday. The truck underwent a significant change from the January Dakar and received a completely new paint with a predominant green color, which is to symbolize the more ecological path that the Riwald team, in collaboration with Mario Kress, decided to take.

In Morocco, the complete team has been since Tuesday. It was also the necessary shakedown and technical handover on Thursday. The race will start on Friday evening with a ceremonial prologue, and from Saturday to Wednesday, October 13th, there will be five stages and speed tests, which should be a big test before the January Dakar. "The Moroccan rally has a huge advantage for us in the respect that we are in one bivouac all the time and each stage starts virtually from the same place. We can perfectly respond to any problems that may arise. Although it was a quick decision, but it is very useful for us. We have something to build on and our expectations are high," Mario Kress is looking forward to the race.
