The battle is over! This year's 45th edition of the Dakar Rally reached its destination in Dammam after two difficult weeks. Although the crew of the North Bohemian truck from the MKR Technology workshop wanted to end the jubilee year on the podium, and they succesfully started the last stage that way, the explosion of the hose to the "turbo" eventually stopped them for more than quarter of an hour. The number of podium positions in the last fourteenth stage therefore did not increase. MKR Technology trucks were on the podium four times and won two stages.
Just outside the podium again! North Bohemian truck pilot Pascal de Baar finishes in the penultimate 13th stage of the 45th Dakar Rally in fourth place. He got to the front despite starting from the back after narrowly missing his start on Friday and not being allowed into the stage.
Friday the 13th, bad luck for one, joy for the other. And this dreaded day also took its toll on the 12th stage of the Dakar Rally. Pascal de Baar did not have time to start the Friday stage, on the contrary, his teammate Adwin Hoondert made his way into the elite ten for the first time in the demanding sandy stage.
Pascal de Baar is back on the podium. In the first part of the marathon's 11th stage, the racing truck pilot from Chvalín in North Bohemia finished only ten seconds behind the silver position and takes home bronze.
Pascal de Baar made it! The Dutch driver of the North Bohemian truck dominated the 10th stage of the Dakar Rally. The race entered the heavy dunes, where the pilot of the Riwald Dakar team showed his strength.
Pascal de Baar got it this year! With a truck from the workshop of the North Bohemian design team MKR Technology, he finished on the coveted podium in the 9th stage of the Dakar Rally. He narrowly missed the gold when he had to change a tire before the finish line, but even silver position after all the difficulties made the team very happy.
The crew of pilot Pascal de Baar finished just short of the podium in the 8th stage of the Dakar Rally. The Dutch team of North Bohemian trucks from MKR Technology crossed the finish line in fourth place, just seven minutes behind the winner, with great enthusiasm.
Pascal de Baar finished one position better than in the previous day during the 7th stage of the Dakar Rally. The Dutch pilot of a North Bohemian truck from the MKR Technology workshop crossed the finish line in the sixth time.
While Pascal de Baar finished in seventh position in Friday's sandy 6th stage without much difficulty, his colleague Gert Huzink is saying goodbye to this year's 45th year for good. The winner of the 3rd stage, after the exhausting work of the technicians, entered the sixth stage, but did not finish it.
Pascal de Baar finished in the elite five in the 5th stage of the Dakar Rally. The Dutch pilot of a North Bohemian truck recorded the second best result of the year in the legendary competition. More great news came to the bivouac. Gert Huzink was additionally recognized as the winner of the 3rd stage.
Bad luck is chasing Gert Huzink. The Dutch pilot did not make it to the podium. In the 4th stage of the Dakar Rally, he was fighting for the gold medal, but then a mechanical failure stopped him and his crew was left in the dunes. At the same time, Pascal de Baar was also close to the podium, but finished seventh.
In theory, Gert Huzink was the fastest pilot of the 3rd stage of the Dakar Rally. In reality, however, he was not celebrating the victory. The stage was shortened due to bad weather and the ranking was based on the last waypoint. But the Dutch pilot of the North Bohemian truck did not get into it.
