Unorthodox, unique, packed with adrenaline, contests and fun, simply unforgettable. Those are the attributes of a spectacular event organized jointly by the North Bohemia based MKR Technology and Renault Trucks for customers from Central and Eastern Europe. The experience day took place in the military area in Senica, Slovakia, with the Dakar specials playing the main role.
An unforgettable experience! In fact, even more intense than anyone could have imagined. Clients of the Renault Trucks and MKR Technology event week saw the Dakar special catch fire right during one of the concluding exhibition drives. Luckily, no one was harmed.
It’s official now. The truck built North Bohemia wins a bronze medal in the currently fastest and toughest rally of the world. The Renault Sherpa arrives at the finish on third place in general classification and records a historic result for the MKR Technology team in its first race ever. The Dutch pilot Martin van den Brink shares the great result with his team including the Roudnice mechanic Daniel Kozlovský.
We‘ve made it! The north of Bohemia has a reason to celebrate as the truck built by MKR Technology achieved an overall podium result in the world‘s longest and toughest rally, the Silk Way. Kamaz, kamaz and a kamaz once again. The penultimate racing stage of the world‘s toughest rally was ruled over by the Russian trucks. Leg thirteen of the Silk Way Rally brought problems with electronics to the Renault Sherpa and the truck was eventually classified on sixth place with a fifteen-minute loss. The dream of victory is somewhat further away, but the overall podium standing is indeed very close.
One single defect is enough to make the leader drop to third place. Leg twelve of the Silk Way, the world’s longest rally, has brought some bad luck to the north of Czechia. Following an unwanted stop, Martin van den Brink piloting a truck built by MKR Technology crossed the finishing line on fourth place and due to the minimal margin in the overall results dropped to third place. However, he’s ready to put up a good fight!
Incredible! The North Bohemia based MKR Technology was working on improving the cooling system in their Renault Sherpa all night only to see the Dutch pilot win stage ten of the world’s longest and, as all things seem to suggest, toughest rally, the Silk Way, where the air temperature in the hot desert currently reaches fifty degrees. The team continues to hold the overall lead.
Winner of the Dakar from two years ago Russian Mardeev dominated in stage nine of the rough Silk Way Rally. The race has led the trucks to sand dunes for the first time as well as to one of the lowest-lying and hottest places on the planet. The Sherpa with Martin van den Brink behind the steering wheel arrived to the finishing line on fifth place this time, as a result of the problems with engine temperature. However, he still maintains his position in the lead.
They’ve gone crazy! The truck built by the North Bohemia based MKR Technology wins another stage at Silk Way, the world’s longest rally. Adding another victory to his record Martin van den Brink dominated in stage eight, confirming his overall lead.

Alhough cut short prematurely, stage six of the Silk Way Rally was dominated by the Russian Mardeev. Martin van den Brink piloting the truck built by the Czech MKR Technology team finished eighth after technical issues hindered his performance and continues to occupy second rank overall.
Fantasy! The truck built by MKR Technology in North Bohemia wins the fifth stage of the Silk Way Rally. The pilot Martin van den Brink tackled the longest special stage of this year‘s rally in the fastest time of all. The joy is even bigger given the fact that the crew carrying a Roudnice mechanic onboard proved that, despite the technical issues they had faced, their renault is able to cope with the Kamaz dominance
