6th stage of Rally Dakar took place in a very strange atmosphere. Truck driven by Martin van den Brink, which had stayed in the dunes the day before and had not made the start of fifth stage, was allowed to start. So all three north-bohemian trucks designed by MKR Technology finished this stage. Janus van Kasteren finished in top 10.
Never-ending sand and hard dunes. Dakar is still beating hard all the competitors. For north-bohemian trucks designed by MKR Technology Gert Huzink is saving the situation. He has just missed the top 10 in 5th stage. Mammoet Rallysport teams are having heaps of bad luck.
Anniversary 40th edition of The Dakar is extremely difficult. Even the biggest favourites are fighting with its traps. Dakar ended prematurely for many teams. Fourth racing day tried to drop out north-bohemian truck designed by MKR Technology as well. While Gerd Huzink finished on a fantastic fifth position, van den Brink perforated his oil tank and is trying to find a way out of the dunes. Even quick assistance with van Kasteren could not tow him to bivouac. The teams are not giving up and are trying to keep fighting.
Organizers are not holding it back. This edition of Rally Dakar is extremely difficult right from the first stages. 3rd stage was no exception - vehicles going in somersaults and flips or early drop-outs were not uncommon. Trio of north-bohemian trucks designed by MKR Technology finished in the TOP 10. Van Kasteren finished seventh, Huzink eighth, followed by Martin van den Brink with on-board technician Kozlovský from Roudnice nad Labem, Czech republic.
Very hard stage on 40th edition of Rally Dakar right on the second day. Sandy route took its toll on the whole racing field and some of the racers said it was the hardest stage they ever experienced. This was backed up by a number of accidents. But trucks from North Bohemia went successfully through. The best of Renault Trucks with van den Brink and Kozlovský, technician from Roudnice nad Labem took eighth position.

Renowned Dakar is here! Anniversary 40th edition of the most famous long distance race in the world will start this weekend. Nine thousand kilometres is waiting for the racers and they will travel from Peru through Bolivia over to Argentina. Three north-bohemian Renault Trucks teams from MKR Technology centre are ready at the starting line as well.
All machinery is loaded and there is no way back. MKR Technology is heading for its another Dakar. That is marked by number four. Team of designers from north Bohemia will participate in the 40th edition of most prestigious rally in the world for 4th time. Party around Mario Kress this time prepared a trio of race trucks, which are now on a ship bound to South America.
Preparations culminate. Only a couple of days before the departure for Rally Dakar gets real. Team presentations and crews’ introductions for the renowned rally are filling the programme nowadays. Start of the rally itself is scheduled for January, but all the machinery is setting off for South America on the last weekend of November. MKR Technology, designer team from northern Bohemia is sending a trio of trucks driven by Dutch pilots to fight for the Bedouin trophy. A local element, Daniel Kozlovský from Roudnice, will be present on board as well.
High altitude and a lack of oxygen. Two interconnected elements which have a major impact on the performance of an engine. The upocoming Dakar event will take place exactly in conditions like that and the MKR Technology take no chances in getting ready for it. That is why the constructors’ team from the North of Bohemia and their Dakar special ventured to the French Alps for some proper stress testing.
Unofortunately, the MKR Technology team has not been meant to complete a goldren hattrick at the OiLibya Rally. The plan has been spoilt by a technical defect of the engine, and so Martin van den Brink and his crew were forced to end the Morocco rally prematurely.
The OiLibya Rally has started, with a truck from the Czech MKR Technology team among hot candidates for victory again. This would be the team’s third win here, as the Renault Trucks specials by Mario Kress had not found a match in the two previous years of the rally. After a year-long break the Dutch pilot Martin van den Brink has set his eyes on gold.
